Five press-stud male elements on each side of face aperture to receive suspension system from oxygen mask. Microphone socket below left ear. Communications lead emerges from lower centre rear of helmet. Two light webbing goggle retaining straps with press-studs at rear.

Reverse - a winged and helmeted female figure sitting on an aeroplane with an eagle perched on her outstretched arm. At top 1918, below arm FOR COURAGE. A narrow border of laurel leaves. Ribbon - white and purple in narrow diagonal lines falling to wearer's left. The edge blank.
