USAF Type MS22001 Oxygen Mask

Green rubber face mask with permanently fixed mask tube assembly entering at the bottom of the mask, microphone mounted centrally above the tube and expiratory valve behind it. Webbing suspension harness is fed through loops in the mask and is fitted with two female press studs on the left and a roller bar on the right to connect to the hook of the flying helmet. A plastic plate is provided to reinforce the bridge of the nose. Green corrugated oxygen pipe terminating in a quick release connector formed with a small bore supplementary inlet which connects to the emergency oxygen supply.

Blue-grey fabric helmet with internal, padded leather telephone holders retained by press-studs. Five press-stud male elements on each side of face aperture to receive suspension system from oxygen mask. Microphone socket below left ear. Communications lead emerges from lower centre rear of helmet. Two light webbing goggle retaining straps with press-studs at rear. Fitted with hooked Harnesses for P Type Oxygen Mask.
