Pilot Officer Cyril Barton’s Service Dress Cap

Peaked cap with blue-grey fabric crown and peak, black mohair band and black, patent leather chin strap. The badge consisting of a crown in gold and silver wire above a gilt metal eagle above two pairs of gold wire laurel leaves, all on a black Melton patch. Signed on the inside by crew members of Barton's Halifax bomber.
Rolls-Royce Kestrel XVI

12-cylinder 640/670 hp in-line piston engine, mounted on four pronged metal stand. Complete with all auxiliary equipment, but no exhaust pipes fitted. Engine inhibited at source, and some external parts chrome plated, verifying its former use as a display engine. Type fitted to Hawker Fury II aircraft. Manufacturer's plates but no serial number.

Blue-grey, soft fabric cap with the crown gathered into a band covered by a separate black mohair band bearing the RAF Airmen's cap badge in gilding metal. Plain black leather peak and chin strap. Repair (poorly) made to crown of cap above right side of peak; owner's name and service number written on inside of peak.
Sunbeam Arab I

Licence-built Sunbeam Arab V-8 water-cooled 200hp aero-engine. Geared Mk.1 type. Largely externally complete; twin rear-mounted Aero Magnetos and centrally mounted Zenith carburettor. Missing pistons and rods. Mounted on wooden stand. There is a crack in the right hand water jacket radiating from the forward core plug that is about 10 cms in length.
Irvin Flying Jacket, 1938 Pattern

Fleece-lined, brown leather short jacket with full length zip closure and zips running up front of fore-arms. Around the bottom front, a leather half belt emerging from the side seams, fitted with a white metal buckle. On the underside of the collar a fastening loop and a length of elastic to hold the collar up when worn in that position.

Black painted heavy sheet metal cylindrical metal canister, made in two halves with five hinges along one side to split and open completely. Four automatically operated securing clips on opposite edge to the hinges; one end of canister divided 8 inches from the end to take a parachute - two external lugs for parachute clips - mushroom shaped metal shock absorbers fitted to one end with four bolts and wing nuts.

Luftwaffe LKp N101 Flying Helmet

Dark brown cotton net flying helmet with leather covered telephone holders and leather brow band. The interior of the telephone holders padded with fleece fabric or fine sheepskin. The earphone electrical wiring enters at the lower rear of the helmet and attached in the same position is the suspension rig for the throat microphone. Two flat hooks are positioned below the earphone housings and two studs are positioned on their inner edges to which fasten the oxygen mask.

Eight aircraft nose art panels, Parts A-H cut from port side of nose of Handley Page Halifax III LV907 'Friday the 13th'; each section of skin retains stringers at the rear and traces of airframe features such as windows. Some damage to the paintwork, especially around the edges of the panels.Painted decoration includes Includes 128 mission bomb tally, aircraft name and part of 'Halifax III' inscription together with inverted horseshoe, medal ribbons and King's crown.
