Olive green, rubberised fabric waistcoat containing an inflatable rubber bladder the oral inflation pipe of which emerges from the left breast and is retained in a sheath running up the left shoulder. The jacket fastens with three buttons and two buckled tapes at top and bottom. Front stencilled with orientation and wearing instructions. Bladder not fitted on this example.

Integral fabric belt with two prong gilt buckle. Black and pale blue rank lace at cuffs to the rank of Pilot Officer Pilot's badge above left breast pocket.
