Hand made black leather cat-shaped charm, with thread attached to safety pin and then wool in order to suspend. Leather worn in two places showing internal stuffing, and stitching on tail crudely done.
USAAF Type M-1 Flak Vest

Protective vest in three sections covering the back, chest, abdomen and groin. Each section is made from overlapping steel plates covered with canvas. The sections are held together by 'lift the dot' fasteners and by an adjustable waist belt which attaches by more fasteners to an internal yoke on the chest plate. This yoke is fitted with a red fabric handle to aid emergency removal of the garment by a swift upward then downward pull.

Peaked cap with blue-grey fabric crown and peak, black mohair band and black, patent leather chin strap. The badge consisting of a crown in gold and silver wire above a gilt metal eagle above two pairs of gold wire laurel leaves, all on a black Melton patch. Signed on the inside by crew members of Barton's Halifax bomber.
