'Figaro' Door

Complete starboard side pilot's emergency exit panel door from Hawker Hurricane fighter. Inside face has original stencilling, opening latch, and conversion table for fuel gauge dial. Also webbing pocket for Height and Airspeed Computer.

Stainless steel blade with locking lever, folds into walnut wood grip. Rope spike folds into base of handle. Wooden grip is degraded with material missing on one side. Locking lever and spike both fold freely. Numerous scratches and indentations across the steel components.

Replica, 18" white faced with copper surround and (light mahogany or possibly beech backing?). Hand painted inward pointing blue,yellow, and red segments with fixed hands. No access to rear and with a perspex face.

Circular, within a rim enamelled in pale blue and lettered FOREWARNED IS FOREARMED and OBSERVER CORPS, an Elizabethan coast watcher holding aloft a flaming torch. Silver with crescent fixing for a buttonhole. Worn face.

Respirator, Type S6

Black rubber face mask with two clear eye pieces. Filter canister connects to front left side at right angle to wearer. Head harness consists of six short, adjustable elastic straps connected to a vertical panel of rubberized webbing.

Sectioned. Cylindrical body tapered at both ends with a single suspension eye, striker head and safety pin in the nose. Fitted with a hollow steel tail cone assembly. Painted overall white with two green bands.

Soap Tray

Silver egg shaped tray in silver with single hinge allowing two halves to open. The hinge in broken and the top portion is seperated from the lower. The lower is distorted and the top doesn't fit properly. A bar of soap is inside.

Observer Corps Armband

Band of boucle woven wollen fabric in dark blue and white vertical stripes with OBSERVER CORPS woven into the pattern in red. Chrome plated pinless buckle for fastening with loose end retaining loop in the same fabric as the armband.

Badge, Army, Officer Training Corps

Brass badge in the shape of a shield with banner below with the words 'WOLVERHAMPTON O.T.C.'. The front of the shield features a chevron and three padlocks. The reverse features a single arm that points downwards for connecting to clothing.

Stamped and cut from white alloy, probably with a high silver content. A single-engined monoplane in plan view with an owl sitting on the fuselage partially encircled by a crescent moon with, below, 307. Threaded post fixing on reverse.
