Very light alloy spoon with ridge to handle. Luftwaffe eagle above a swastika stamp at base of handle with further stamps on reverse. Spoon is chipped and scraped and also has paint marks on the bowl.

Pattern 1939 Flying Boot

Black leather and khaki/green fabric pull-on boot to just below knee, lined throughout in sheepskin. The foot and seam-reinforcing strip at rear of leather, the leg of thick cotton, webbing-like fabric. The front, top of the leg slit for a few inches to ease putting on. Khaki webbing tightening strap and buckle at top. Leather pull tabs inside. Leather soles, rubber heels.

Oval, silver, with curved bar suspender in the form of wings. Obverse - the sovereign's head in left profile with full title round the rim and a narrow border of laurel leaves. Reverse - a winged and helmeted female figure sitting on an aeroplane with an eagle perched on her outstretched arm. At top 1918, below arm FOR COURAGE. A narrow border of laurel leaves. Ribbon - white and purple in narrow diagonal lines falling to wearer's left. The edge engraved 787678 SGT. J. DYGRYN.
