Thick rope harness consisting of four loops, the longer, upper pair, which have whipped lower loops, pass crosswise over the head. The lower pair, which are free running continuous loops, are stepped through and drawn up round the crutch. All four loops link to a central short length of rope with loops at both ends, one acts as the collection point for the other four and the other as the connection point for the rope which emerges from the parachute canopy valise.
