Single-breasted, four button, four pocket jacket with collar and lapels and integral fabric belt. Pleated, flap and button breast pockets, flap and button inset skirt pockets. Rear vent. All buttons and buckle gilding metal. Sleeves bear from top to bottom - eagle, Corporal's rank insignia, and on right sleeve four red inverted chevrons denoting length of war service. Conversion refers to the application of buttons to the lower pockets and the provision of button holes in the pocket flaps to make the jacket look like the original, 1939 Pattern garment.
