Single-breasted, four button, four pocket khaki drill short sleeved bush jacket with collar and lapels. Pleated, flap and button breast pockets, flap and button bellow skirt pockets. Slashed pleat runs down the rear panel, gathering at the waist and then continuing down the skirt. Small vents are found each side of the rear quarters. All buttons are removable and in black plastic. Shoulder straps with slides to the rank of Flight Lieutenant.

Four pocket, khaki drill jacket with folded collar and lapel. Pleated breast pockets with flap and button and flapped and buttoned bellows pockets in the skirt. Front closes with four removable uniform buttons. Integral fabric waist belt sewn into the back and closing with a two pinned buckle. Long central rear vent in skirt. Soft shoulderboards with loops to retain them. False pointed cuffs. No buttons or buckles fitted.

Fitted with press studs above left breast for medal bar.

Pleated breast pockets with flap and button and large flapped and buttoned bellows pockets in the skirt. Fabric waist belt closing with two pin buckle and held in place by belt loops. Rear central vent in skirt. Fitted with rank slides to the rank of Air Commodore.

Single-breasted, blue, knee length coat with fold down collar and lapel closing with four uniform buttons. Removable, fabric belt with two uniform buttons held in place by belt loops. Large flapped patched pockets on skirt closing with a single button. 1 inch vertical fabric bands secured by four rows of stitching runs each side from shoulder to skirt pockets on the front and from shoulder to waist, tapering slightly to the centre, down the back.

Single-breasted, four button, four pocket jacket with collar and lapels and integral fabric belt. Pleated, flap and button breast pockets, flapped inset skirt pockets without buttons, ie. 1941 production standard. Rear vent. All buttons and buckle gilding metal. Sleeves bear from top to bottom - shoulder eagles printed on cotton patches, LACW rank badges woven of woven cotton and left sleeve only, Good Conduct stripe on the cuff.

A Red Arrows Hawk crashed at RAF Valley while this interview was being recorded, with the loss of a team engineer. The interview is not to be used without Sqdn Ldr Mason's permission.
