Mater Pattern upgraded from Working Pattern No. 5611. Short sleeved, khaki cotton combination suit with legs terminating above the knee. Vee neck, fastening from neck to waist with four visible buttons and then by a further four fly covered buttons below the waist. All buttons brass sew through type. Side pockets and an open patch pocket on the left breast. Pleated centre panel in the rear with a buckled adjustment strap below the waist.

Short sleeved, four pocket, stone jacket with fold down collar, soft shoulder straps and a slashed pleat in the rear. Front closes with four removable uniform buttons. Pleated breast pockets with flap and button and large flapped and buttoned bellows pockets in the skirt. Fabric waist belt closing with two pin buckle and held in place by three pop fastened tapes on the belt and small loops on the jacket. Rear central vent in skirt. Fitted with medal ribbon and pilot's wings above the left breast pocket.

Short sleeved, four pocket, khaki drill jacket with collar lapel and soft shoulder straps. Front closes with four removable buttons (buttons sewn in place on this example). Pleated breast pockets with flap and button and large flapped and buttoned bellows pockets in the skirt. Fabric waist belt held by belt loops and closing with a two pinned gilt buckle. Side seams open from below the waist. Fitted with pilot's wings and medal ribbon above left breast pocket and Flight Sergeants stripes and crown on the right arm.

Single-breasted, four button, four pocket jacket with collar and lapels and integral fabric belt. Pleated, flap and button breast pockets, flap and button inset skirt pockets. Rear vent. All buttons and buckle gilding metal. Sleeves bear shoulder eagles and Sergeant's stripes on upper arms as well as a Telecommunications trade badge on upper right arm. Conversion refers to the application of buttons to the lower pockets and the provision of button holes in the pocket flaps to make the jacket look like the original, 1939 Pattern garment.

Master Pattern No. 35/R/656A up-graded from a Working Ptn. Four pocket, khaki drill jacket with folded collar and lapel. Pleated breast pockets with flaps cut in three points and button and flapped inset pockets in the skirt. Front closes with four removable uniform buttons plugged through. Integral fabric waist belt sewn into the back and closing with a two pinned buckle and with a retaining loop for the end. Long central rear vent in skirt. Fitted with Shoulder Eagles. No buttons or buckle fitted.
