Aircraft & Exhibits, In Storage, 1987/1595/U
Single-breasted, four button (one absent), four pocket jacket with collar and lapels and integral fabric belt. Pleated, flap and button breast pockets, flapped inset skirt pockets with added buttons. Rear vent. All buttons and buckle gilding metal. Sleeves bear from top to bottom, shoulder eagles and LAC badges on upper arms. Single inverted Good Conduct chevron above left cuff. Slight Moth damage. Conversion refers to the application of buttons to the lower pockets and the provision of button holes in the pocket flaps to make the jacket look like the original, 1939 Pattern garment.

Single breasted lapel jacket closing with four gilt buttons. The garment cut with a vertical seam folded to form as a ridge to shape to the bosom and the back. The back cut in four panels with darts so as to give a waisted shape. No belt. The bottom of the front opening rounded. Inset, flap and button pockets in the skirt. The flaps cut in three points, deeply scalloped. Fitted with shoulder eagles - pale blue eagles embroidered onto a blue-grey patch. Lined in dark grey synthetic fibre fabric throughout. Gilding metal King's crown buttons.

Single-breasted, khaki jacket with roll-step collar and lapels, four flap and button pockets, the breast pockets pleated, the skirt pockets of bellows type. Centre rear vent. The waist fitted with brass hooks for wear with a Sam Browne. Shoulder straps plain. Bronze RFC Collar badges. The cuffs encircled by one pale khaki, chevron lace and bearing a cuff patch also edged in lace, carrying two embroidered rank pips for a Lieutenant. Pilot's flying badge above left breast pocket has been removed. Four blue service chevrons above right cuff and a single wound stripe above left.

Four pocket, khaki drill jacket with folded collar and lapel. Pleated breast pockets with flap and button and flapped and buttoned bellows pockets in the skirt. Front closes with four removable uniform buttons. Small internal open double pocket on lower right hand side of opening. Integral fabric waist belt sewn into the back and closing with a two pinned buckle. Long central rear vent in skirt. Soft shoulderboards with loops to retain them. False pointed cuffs. Fitted with Flight Engineer's brevet. No buttons or shoulderboards fitted to this example.
