Ovoid cover made from two sheets of webbing material sewn together and given a canvas lining. Opening re-enforced by rivets at each corner. Two short buckled straps for attachment to braces while a longer buckled strap secures the opening. Two loops for carrying the tool's helve. This example has the additional press studded strap to secure the helve.

Large rectangular grey painted metal case with hinged lid connecting with two terminals marked, COUPLING COIL (when closed) fitted to a composite panel inside. The panel also has a rotating slow motion dial marked, 45-6700 KILO CYCLES, an oval cut out with with two valve pins at the bottom, two LT+/LT- electrical terminals, a 3 way switch and PHONES jack plug socket.
