Ovoid cover made from two sheets of webbing material sewn together and given a canvas lining. Opening re-enforced by rivets at each corner. Two short buckled straps for attachment to braces while a longer buckled strap secures the opening. Two loops for carrying the tool's helve. This example has the additional press studded strap to secure the helve.

Large rectangular black painted body vented on three sides with a rectangular hood covering two display screens a yard counter and red lamp fitted in the face. Two rotating knobs marked, BRILL/B SCOPE BRILL, three-way RANGE SELCTOR, CAGE/INT press buttons, ON/MOD switch, with METER/SCALE switch all fitted in the face. Two large multi-pin plugs and four coaxial connectors fitted in the left side.

The badge of two piece construction, the central portion being mounted on the crowned star and retained by two lugs and a vertical pin. Two horizontal fixing lugs at rear.

Single-breasted, four button jacket with roll-step collar, two flap and button, pleated breast pockets, two flap and button bellows pockets in skirt and a centre rear vent. Lower button shows below belt. Fabric belt with two prong gilt buckle and held in place by belt loops. False pointed cuffs. Fitted with pilots wings, medal ribbon and shoulderboards with rank lace to the rank of Air Marshal.
