Ovoid cover made from two sheets of webbing material sewn together and given a canvas lining. Opening re-enforced by rivets at each corner. Two short buckled straps for attachment to braces while a longer buckled strap secures the opening. Two loops for carrying the tool's helve. This example has the additional press studded strap to secure the helve.

Two rotating knobs marked, BRILL/B SCOPE BRILL, three-way RANGE SELCTOR, CAGE/INT press buttons, ON/MOD switch, with METER/SCALE switch all fitted in the face. Two large multi-pin plugs and four coaxial connectors fitted in the left side.
