Vest made from three sections of polyester mesh, (two front, one back) to which Desert DPM nylon fabric panels fitted with 'Molle' loops have been attached, allowing a variety of webbing pouches to be carried. The three mesh sections are laced together at the sides and join at the shoulders vai a combination of velcro panels and press studded tabs. Three adjustable snap fasteners close the front of the garment and further adjustment is made possible by four buckles in the rear. The front sections have two zipped openings allowing access to the garment and the rear section is fitted with a velcro poachers pocket. Male fasteners are supplied no the rear section for the fitting of a hydration system. This example is fitted with the following pouches. Three Utility, two SA-80 Magazine, two 40mm Grenade, one AP Grenade, one Water Bottle, one Medical, one Knife, one Helmet Bag and one Pouch Small.

Two circular, steel bowls, both nickel plated on their inside surfaces. The lower one, deeper, the rim chamfered and with a folding handle rivetted to the inside edge. The outer sides bearing loops rivetted on opposite sides through which pass the leather securing strap which holds the pair together. The upper bowl, shallow, with a similar pair of strap loops and two slots cut into one side to enable the handle to be folded out and this bowl put on as a lid. The securing strap of pale brown thick hide with a steel buckle sewn at one end and two fixed and one running leather loops. The loop immediately below the buckle and the running loop to take the spare end of the strap when the whole is attached to the wearer; the reversed loop to form the loop enclosing the two tins.

Master Pattern No. 35/R/1223 up-graded from Working Pattern. Light blue, short-sleeved, cotton dress with rounded collar. Open down front from neck for 14½ inches, closing with press stud and hook and eye at neck and then 4 removable buttons down its length (buttons absent). Opening then follows the waist line for 9 inches with four press studs and a hook and eye and then runs down the left hand side seam for a further 7 inches closing with three press studs. Side seam also open above the waist for 5 inches with a further two press studs. 2 inch light blue cotton belt secured to waist by two belt loops and closed by one press stud and two hooks and eyes. Two pleats in back panel. One open patch pocket on left breast and one open inset pocket on left hand side of skirt 2 inches below belt line.

Pale blue-grey linen combination suit with full length zip fastener. Single thickness fabric throughout except in the lower legs which are double thickness and fitted with zips for ease of donning. Waistbelt retained in tube across back. Belt missing. Shoulderstraps for rank sewn down all the way round. No rank insignia. Two zip pockets in chest, two buttoned pockets in lower legs, buttoned glove pocket upper left leg, reference card celluloid panel pocket in upper right leg., two open slit pockets in sides at hip level. Attachment panels for ejection seat garters at rear upper calf level. Pencil pocket on upper left arm. Oxygen mask attachment D ring on upper right chest. Cuffs close with tab bearing a button hole but later modified with Velcro. Three loops of cord inside collar to retain scarf. Embroidered directly into upper right sleeve a badge for 9 Squadron consisting of IX in green within two rings of pale yellow.
