Tall, bronze gilt two handled cup of enclosed design with stopper. Heavily decorated with embossed fluting and foliate designs and with four small loops on the stem. The stopper is topped with the figure of an angel blowing a horn and carrying a palm frond in her left hand. The frond has broken off and is stored separately. An oval medallion is engraved ‘AERIAL DERBY CIRCUIT OF LONDON 1914 Presented by THE MAIL Won by Claude Grahame-White’.
