Rectangular light brown and yellow paper banknote. Front; THE JAPANESE GOVERNMENT with FIVE DOLLARS below, in-between two fruit trees having number 5 at each corner. Japanese writing within a bar and a seal at bottom centre. Rear; Large number 5 central, left and right within very light brown designs. Slight tears at bottom.

Sealed rectangular white canvas pack with a red cross and German script printed one side and contents list the other. Contains first aid equipment comprising: one constriction bandage (abschnuerbinde), two wire ladder splints (drahtleiterschienen), one pair of wire cutters? (hebelvorschneider), two iodine 'sticks' (jodstifte), one pair of clothes scissors (kleiderschere) and one pair of tweezers (pinzette) in a fabric(?) bag (stofftasche), one metal saw with protective cover (metallsaege mit schutzhuelle), two 'pressings' with gauze and ties (pressstueke mit mull und binden), 0.5 metres of 'quick bandage' (Schnellverband), 24 safety pins (sicherheitsnadeln), four tubes of boric acid ointment (borsalben), five large bandage packs (grosse verbandpaeckchen), five small bandage packs (kleine verbandpaeckchen), two bandages (verbandtuecher), one bismuth burn bandage (wismulbrandbinde), five metres of zinc-rubber adhesive plaster (zink-kautschukheftpflaster), one aluminium box (aluminiumkasten) containing one graduated syringe (rekordspritze), three hollow needles (hohinadeln), two ampoules of Cardiazol, two ampoules of caffeine (coffein), two ampoules of lobeline (lobelin) and five ampoules of morphine (morphium).
