Khaki cotton, poncho style, cape opening with five press studs. Fall collar with buttoned tab for when worn up. Large diagonal press studded flaps on chest to gain access to undergarments. Centre rear vent with a single press stud. Inside, long fabric straps from the shoulders for securing the cape to the body.

Single-breasted, five button, scarlet jacket with shallow, black standing collar, piped around base, and piped, pointed cuffs. Deep yellow cord piping. Plain, straight flap, inset pockets without buttons just below waist level. Twisted, deep yellow shoulder cords fastened by single button. Reproduction made in 1970s by Hobsons.

Five lightweight wood panels fixed together with brass strips screwed in each corner. Two flat metal pivoting arms joined together and fixed to the board having a rectangular perspex rule with a circular scale (with lock nut) marked 0-350º above. Contains several maps and two wood braces and a canvas pencil holder in the rear.

Single-breasted, white drill, five button, tunic with stand collar and loops for shoulderboards. Collar closing with a pair of hooks and eyes. Pleated breast pockets with flap and button. Two small vents in the rear. Sleeves with false pointed cuffs. All buttons removable. Fitted with pilot's wings and shoulderboards to the rank of Squadron Leader.
