Master Pattern No. 35/R/648B Long, double-breasted Serge coat closing with five pairs of buttons. Sleeves without cuffs. False half belt sewn into seams, not adjustable. Gussetted centre rear vent in skirts closed with a concealed button. Two inset pockets with flaps. Shoulder eagles at head of sleeves. Woollen lining to bust level. Sateened cotton lining to sleeves.

Inverted pleat in the back, half belt with two buttons and rear vent closed with small concealed buttons. Two inset pockets with flaps in the front skirts. Soft shoulder straps bearing rank braid to the rank of Flying Officer.

Khaki, flap-over jacket fastening with five buttons concealed in a fly down the right side. The top edge of the flap fastens on the top of the shoulder with press studs. Rise and fall collar. Shoulder straps have been removed. Plain cuffs with hooked straps. Horizontal inset pockets in skirts. Centre rear vent. Lined throughout in khaki cotton fabric.

Single-breasted, five button, blue grey jacket with stand collar. Four flapped pockets, the breast pockets with buttons, skirt pockets without. Two small vents in the rear quarters. Collar closing with two hooks. Gilt RAF badges on the collar. Sleeves with plain pointed false cuffs. Gold Sergeant's stripes on right sleeve. Pilot's flying badge in gold wire above left breast pocket.

The foot formed with a toe cap and laced with five pairs of holes over the instep. the leg slit up the front with a gussett and fastening with three short leather straps with brass buckles. Straps are thin leather, modern replacements.
