Film showing various scenes of de Havilland Aircraft Company activities at Hatfield, including an Avro Lancastrian in a hangar for the test fitting of Ghost gas turbine engines. Mosquito, Sea Hornet and Dove aircraft also appear.

Tables and chairs surround the dance floor which is partly barricaded off, suspended above the floor are silver streamers (possibly window) and union flags, on the right by the rear wall is a decorated motor coach with a sign on its side which reads "The Bowery".

Fairey Rotordyne XE521 is seen in the air and landing vertically. It shuts down, starts up, takes off and hovers. Hangar doors are opened to reveal the Rotordyne and a number of Gannets. The Rotordyne is then towed out. A Tipsy Trainer (G-AISC) is seen taking off.

A Mosquito PR.34 (RG 300) is rolled out of a hangar at RAF Benson. RAF officers and civilians stand talking by the aeroplane, aircrew pose briefly before climbing into the cockpit and the aeroplane starts its engines before taking off.

A Cody aeroplane is pulled out of a hangar and prepared for flight. The engine is started, the pilot is seen at the controls ant it taxis forwards. On its take off run the aeroplane tips forwards onto its nose, causing some damage. The pilot is helped away from the wreckage and several men inspect the aeroplane.

Airmen parade in a hangar at RAF Brize Norton for the official naming of a VC 10 (XR810 ‘David Lord’) curtains are drawn back to reveal the name, painted on the aeroplane’s fuselage, and a number of people then board.

Men of 50 Squadron parade in front of a Vulcan in a hangar and a civilian VIP presents a Victoria Cross to the Squadron’s commanding officer. The two men then show the medal to the camera and various views show a Vulcan on the ground.
