Khaki, flap-over jacket fastening with five buttons concealed in a fly down the right side. The top edge of the flap fastens on the top of the shoulder with a loop & hook. Rise and fall collar bearing bronze RFC badges, the interior of the collar fitted with a false khaki shirt collar retained by 'plastic' buttons. Shoulder straps fastening with press-studs bear Major's rank insignia in the form of an embroidered crown. Plain cuffs. Horizontal flapped pockets in skirts. Centre rear vent. RFC pilot's badge on left breast. Lined throughout in khaki cotton fabric.

Long, double-breasted, blue-grey Fleece cloth coat with a fold down collar, shoulderboards bearing rank to Wing Commander in Service Dress lace and belt fastening with a pinless buckle. Flapped, inset pockets in front at waist level, cut slightly sloping to rear. Sword slit let into seam on left side and covered by belt. Long centre rear vent with two self-coloured buttons to keep skirts closed. Front closes with five pairs of large uniform buttons tapering downwards to the waist. Three small uniform buttons mounted at the rear of each cuff.

Rectangular matt black painted aluminium body fitted with a large circular gauge with triple scale and inner volt meter. Five-way switch (knob missing) marked, OFF, TUNE RT, NAV.CW, ADF, LOOP, press button marked, TAKE OVER, four-way switch (knob missing) marked, 015, .325, .70, 1.5, DIM switch, VOL switch, CW/RT switch, LEFT/ LOOP/ RIGHT switch, SENSE press button, DEC/FREQ/INC and FILTER OUT switch all fitted in face. Two screw adjusters marked SLOW RUNNING LOOP/TUNNING MOTOR fitted top and rear. Large multi-pin plug in rear.

Khaki cotton combination suit fastening from neck to waist with five visible buttons retained by split rings and then by a further four fly covered buttons below the waist. Belt hooks in the waist. Pair of pleated breast pockets with flap and button closure. Slit openings in the waist for access to undergarments. Two large flap and button patch pockets on upper thighs. Stand and fall collar closing with a pair of hooks and eyes. Buttoned straps at the ankles and cuffs.

Standard Pattern D00520. Tri-Service garment. White, short-sleeved jacket with shoulder straps. The chest fashioned with a flap-over fastening down the right side and across the shoulder up to the collar with press-studs. One pocket on left in lower skirts. Two short vents at rear. Shallow, standing collar. The sleeve facings trimmed in a coloured fabric. The pattern supplied with swatches of five alternate coloured fabrics for the trim.
