Single-breasted, five button jacket with roll-step collar, two flap and button, pleated breast pockets, two flap and button bellows pockets in skirt and centre rear vent. Integral fabric belt with two prong buckle. Black and pale blue rank lace at cuffs to the rank of Group Captain with an eagle and separate crown above. All metal blackened bronze. Buttons black composition. Medal ribbons - DSO and bar, DFC, '39-'45 Star, Air Crew Europe Star with rosette for France and Germany, Pacific Star, Defence Medal, Africa Star with rosette, War Medal 1939-1945 and Australian Overseas Service Medal 1939-1945. Pilot's badge above left breast pocket.

Sealed Pattern No. 5138. Tapering leather shoulder belt, one end formed as a loop with buckle to give adjustment. Within this loop a triangular brass ring with a narrow, fixed steadying strap with slots and holes adjustable by means of a stud. This strap loops round the waistbelt to hold the bandolier against the wearer's body. The other end of the main strap fitted with a buckle and short fastening tab which passes through the triangular ring. Along the main strap, which is voided to reduce weight, five pockets with flaps designed to hold two clips of 0.303" rifle ammunition closing by means of brass studs.

Mounted when presented in a large glazed display frame with other medals, a pilots badge, recipient's RAec Aviator's certificate and a photograph. The medal naming inscriptions to be checked when the display is dismantled. Bronze cross pattée, the ends of the limbs slightly forked and the tips bearing balls, with crossed swords, points upwards, in the interstices. A short extension from the upper limb links to a hollow crown with a ring suspender through the orb. Obverse - central medallion of the Lion of Belgium. Reverse - central medallion bearing the monogram of King Albert. Ribbon - scarlet with five narrow, bright green stripes, three centrally and one at each outer side.

Rectangular green and dark blue papr banknote. Face side: There is ornamented rectangle, divided on two parts. In the left part – woman’s head in oval vignette, beneath – denomination 5. In the left upper corner – coat of arms of German Empire, beneath – gothic inscriptions in 4 lines: DARLEHNSKASSENSCHEIN / FÜNF MARK / BERLIN, DEN 1. AUGUST 1917 / REICHSSCHULDENVERWALTUNG. Beneath it – signatures and issuer information. Back side: In the center of ornamented background – crown with oak leaves. Over it – black inscription in 2 lines: DARLEHNSKASSENSCHEIN / FÜNF MARK. To the left and to the right – stamping of Reichsschuldenverwaltung, beneath – denomination 5. In the right upper and left bottom corners – there is serial number. Crisp.

Long, brown leather jacket, the front of double flap construction buttoning with five buttons on the right side. The collar cut deep at the back and lower at the front with a cross-over flap and two buttons to enable it to be fastened as a standing collar round the neck. Single large flapped pocket below waist on left side fastening with press studs. Large, diagonal map pocket without flap on chest with opening on right. Sleeves ending in wrist bands with press stud closure. Lined throughout, including collar, in camel coloured woollen fabric. Small internal breast pocket. Fair condition with damage to the leather and three buttons missing.

Long, double-breasted, blue-grey Fleece cloth coat with a fold down collar, shoulderboards bearing rank to Squadron Leader in Service Dress lace and belt fastening with a pinless buckle. Flapped, inset pockets in front at waist level, cut slightly sloping to rear. Sword slit let into seam on left side and covered by belt. Long centre rear vent with two self-coloured buttons to keep skirts closed. Front closes with five pairs of large uniform buttons tapering downwards to the waist. One small self-coloured button engaging with a tab to keep the front skirts closed. Three small uniform buttons mounted at the rear of each cuff.
