Long, double-breasted, blue-grey Melton coat with a fold down collar, shoulderboards bearing rank to Pilot Officer in Service Dress lace and belt fastening with a pinless buckle (belt detached). Flapped, inset pockets in front at waist level, cut slightly sloping to rear. Sword slit let into seam on left side and covered by belt. Long centre rear vent with two self-coloured buttons to keep skirts closed. Front closes with five pairs of large uniform buttons tapering downwards to the waist. Three small uniform buttons mounted at the rear of each cuff. Three small uniform buttons mounted at the rear of each cuff. Shoulderboards fitted with Volunteer Reserve badges.

An aerial view of a coastline is followed by air to air footage of a formation of Lancaster bombers. A Mosquito FB.VI of 21 Squadron is serviced in a hangar, a Mosquito FB.VI (HJ783) of 464 Squadron is towed along a taxiway and aircrew are seen in a Mosquito’s cockpit. Armourers then prepare to clean a Mosquito’s gun barrels using push-through rods.
