Single-breasted, waist-length blue-grey serge jacket closing with four pierced black plastic buttons which button through and are not concealed in a fly. The garment intended to be buttoned to the top and the collar fastened with a hook and eye. Pleated and flapped breast pockets closed with the same, visible buttons which also appear on the cuffs. The waistband narrowing into a belt extension which engages with a black lacquered buckle on right side which has a retaining loop behind it. The waistband pierced with two button holes at the back and one in the front to secure the jacket to the trousers with which it is supposed to be worn. No shoulder straps. The collar fitted with white gorget tabs and the tops of the sleeves bearing UNIVERSITY OF LONDON AIR SQUADRON badges.
