Rectangular red and blue paper banknote. Front; THE JAPANESE GOVERNMENT ONE CENT central with 1 at each corner. Rear; depicting of a floral arabesque, in red, as background. A large size numeral 1 value in white is at the centre and at each of the four corners. No watermark was present for this banknote. Crisp.

Standard Pattern No. 35/R/650. Attached to a Standard Pattern board - a pair of discs of blue grey wool, one with a winged eagle looking left and one with eagle looking right within a laurel reef embroidered in pale and dark blue thread.

Hollow aluminium tube lined with cardboard. Lid at one end unscrews, but remains attached to tube by a metal chain. Painted red, paint peeling. Paper label with writing in German, stuck at one end. At end with lid, in yellow painted capitals, "UNGEFAHRLICH. WICHTIGE MELDUNG! SOFORT WEITERGEBEN". (Important message, pass on immediately).

Tubular probe illuminator handle with screw-off bottom to contain batteries (missing). Two probes one with flexible neck and both have threaded ends to accommodate the three different shaped inspection mirrors and for fitting into the handle. All contained in a leatherette covered black velvet lined case. One mirror has broken from its mounting.

"Transmitter" rectangular metal case with four adjusting knobs, one red "push button", one clear lamp and two locking switches fitted to the face. "Receiver" rectangular metal case with four fine adjusters fitted to the face. "Power Unit" rectangular metal case with two circular cooling vents on top. All above components fitted into a chassis assembly and painted matt black.
