The waistband fashioned as two extended straps which cross-over each other; the right one passing through a slit in the left side and thence to a pin buckle, the left one passing through a retainer on the right side and thence to a pin buckle.

Metal rectangular box, painted black. Its front consists of two panels screw fastened to the box. Various dials, switches and gauges are visible on the exterior, four dials and one switch on the left with 3 dials, one switch, 2 gauges and two plug sockets on the right. There is a dial to the left on the top of the box.
