Reverse - the US shield supported between a bough of laurel(left) and a bough of oak (right) with an entablature below for the name and SOLDIER'S MEDAL FOR VALOR. Ribbon - 7 narrow white stripes and six narrow red ones in the centre with broad mid-blue edges.
