Lancaster PA474 - Flight over London, 1970s

Air to air footage shows an Avro Lancaster I (PA474) of the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight as it passes over central London. The Lancaster is seen landing from an aerial viewpoint and footage taken from the ground shows the Lancaster in flight over London.

Silver model of Percival Mew Gull (G-AEXF) on a wood base with inscription. "To Alex From His Friends A Tribute Commemorating His Courage Skill, Endurance and Success In Breaking London. Cape Town. London Records Feb. 5th – Feb. 9th 1939." And "Outward London Thur, 3.35a.m. Oran, Gao, Libreville, Mossamedes, Cape Town Mon 6.59p.m. Homeward Cape Town Tue 10.18p.m. Mossamedes, Libreville, Gao, Oran, London Thur 1.51p.m. (includes map of route)."

Silver underground railway locomotive motorman's controller key with text engraved upon its central body. Its head is shaped in decorative curves with foliage depicted along the edges. Within this there is a circular coloured enamel with the words The London Electric Railway Company surrounding a red abstract design, with the official seal of the City and South London Railway Company on its reverse showing the River Thames and London Bridge and the original 1890 rolling stock in tunnels beneath.
