Bronze, angular disc with ring suspender Obverse- against a background of stylized laurel occupying the lower half, an American eagle with outstretched wings, behind which the upper portion of a six point star with blocked, radiating beams behind from which an extension accommodates the suspension ring. Reverse - plain, lettered round the rim UNITED STATES OF AMERICA MERITRIOUS SERVICE Ribbon - crimson with broad white side stripes.

Fibre crown spider with six arms ending with rubber pads on the outside and female press studs to attach to the headband on the inside. A rubber pad is attached by a single rivet and a lift the dot fastener is provided to attach the liner to a Mk.4 or RAC Mk.II helmet.
