Navy, double breasted, wool coat with a fold down collar. Flapped, inset pockets in front at waist level. Long centre rear pleat runs from shoulders and joins with rear vent closing with two buttons (one button missing). Rear half belt at waist and sword slit. Front closes with six pairs of gilt buttons (two buttons missing). Shoulderboards to the rank of Flight Lieutenant with metal gilt eagle.

Single-breasted, six button, straight cut tunic with stand collar and loops for 'epaulettes'. Collar laced in yellow braid, bearing crowned eagle badges and closing with a pair of hooks and eyes. Two small vents in the rear. Sleeves with false pointed cuffs fitted with central band badges. Button for aiguillette on left shoulder. Slight soiling to the front and moth damage to the shoulder.

Reel five of a partially dramatised film documenting the journey of a BOAC Avro Lancastrian from London to Sydney by way of Lydda, Karachi, Singapore and Darwin. The film is set just before Christmas 1947 and includes scenes of local scenery and culture at each stop.
