Olive green chest webbing with one large central map pocket opening with two press studs, three front magazine pouches and two side utility pouches all with velcro fastenings. Two padded, adjustable shoulder straps rise vertically from the front, cross over the back and join to the rear of the utility pouches. Single adjustable strap in the rear with quick release buckle. Single additional first aid pouch attached to left shoulder strap.

Wound stripe on the left sleeve.

On a silver coloured eight point multi-rayed star, The upper point replaced by a Queen's crown, a circular medallion with an eagle overlaid. The medallion having a red centre within a blue-grey ring lettered FIRE SERVICE AIR FORCE DEPT. The badge of two piece construction, the central portion being mounted on the crowned star and retained by two lugs and a vertical pin. Two fixing lugs on reverse.
