Tactical Load Carrying, Desert DPM, Ptn 2007

Vest made from three sections of polyester mesh, (two front, one back) to which Desert DPM nylon fabric panels fitted with 'Molle' loops have been attached, allowing a variety of webbing pouches to be carried. The three mesh sections are laced together at the sides and join at the shoulders vai a combination of velcro panels and press studded tabs. Three adjustable snap fasteners close the front of the garment and further adjustment is made possible by four buckles in the rear. The front sections have two zipped openings allowing access to the garment and the rear section is fitted with a velcro poachers pocket. Male fasteners are supplied no the rear section for the fitting of a hydration system. This example is fitted with the following pouches. Three Utility, two SA-80 Magazine, two 40mm Grenade, two AP Grenade, one Water Bottle, one Medical, one Knife and one Pouch Small.

Master Pattern No. 35/R/799. On an eight-point star with a King's crown at the top, a disc overlaid by an eagle. The disc lettered AIR MINISTRY FIRE SERVICES. The badge of two piece construction, the central portion being mounted on the crowned star and retained by two lugs and a vertical pin. Two horizontal fixing loops at rear and a split pin also fixed to the card.

Temperate DPM chest webbing with one large central map pocket opening with two press studs, three front magazine pouches and two side utility pouches all with quick release fastenings. Two padded, adjustable shoulder straps rise vertically from the front, cross over the back and join to the rear of the utility pouches. Single adjustable strap in the rear with quick release buckle. Four male press studs on left shoulder strap for attachment of radio pouch.

Integral fabric belt with two prong gilt buckle. Air Commodore's rank lace on cuffs. Pilot's badge above left breast pocket with medal ribbons - Companion of St. Michael and St. George, Companion of the Royal Victorian Order, Coronation Medal 1910, Jubilee Medal 1935, Coronation Medal 1937 and Chevalier, Legion d'Honneur.

Integral fabric belt with two prong gilt buckle. One button visible below the belt. Black and pale blue rank lace at cuffs to the rank of Flight Lieutenant. Pilot's flying badge above left breast pocket. New Zealand shoulder titles.

White, short-sleeved, cotton dress with pointed collar. Open front from breast closing with 6 visible removable buttons down its length and fastening with a hook at the collar. Two inch white cotton belt secured in loops at sides of waist and probably originally sewn to centre back - now detached. No breast pockets, no shoulder straps. Two open patch pockets on front below waist. Two press-studs on the sleeves to secure either long over-sleeves or rank insignia.

Single Winged ATA flying badge above left breast pocket and singe gold rank lace on maroon patch on the shoulders.
