Circular brass container made from the bases of two 4.5in howitzer shell cases, the more cut-down of the two serving as the tightly-fitting lid to the other which acts as the main body. Engraved with facsimile signatures of members of 'C' Flight, 16 Squadron RFC personnel, August 1917.

Rectangular matt black painted panel fitted with numerous switches including, ADF Relative Bearing Gauge, Fuel Pressure/Quantity Gauge, Indicator Compass Repeater, Radio Compass Gauge and Indicator Range and Bearing Gauge in the face. Two clear lamps fitted underneath and electrical wiring with multi-pin plugs in rear. Two instruments missing.

Khaki, cotton canvas box-bag, the main compartment closing with a flap fastened by two press-studs facing the wearer and a smaller, full width flap on the outer side closing two vertical pockets for the carriage of anti-gas eye shields and an anti-gas ointment container. The base of the main compartment fitted with two small brass ventilators. Broad, adjustable cotton webbing shoulder strap mounted with yellow alloy hooks which engage with metal D rings attached to the upper sides. The interior divided into three compartments - one full width and the other two of approximately half the width. The edges of the box bag nearest the wearer fitted with two small brass D rings to which is hooked an adjustable waist belt in two parts which fastens with a tongue and slot buckle. Also sewn into the right side rear edge is a length of whip cord. The main shoulder sling provided with an S hook on the right side adjustment slider which engages with a pierced tab fashioned in the mid point of the sling in order to shorten it quickly when required. The left side adjustment slide provided with a cord loop to engage with a uniform button to steady the haversack in certain modes of wear. For use with Long Tube Respirators only.

Two monochrome picture postcards of RAF College Cranwell, circa 1955-1960. One monochrome print of a Bristol F.2b at Khanpur, while being ferried from Ambala to Karachi for overhaul, probably 1929. Aircraft fitted with a header tank, spare wheel and storage panniers. Covers placed over engine cowling and cockpits. Three Indian civilians stand in front of the aircraft, one of whom is holding a small bear on a leash. Handwritten annotation in ink on reverse. One colour print of the Alcock and Brown Memorial, Errislannen Hill, Ireland, 15 June 1968. Handwritten annotation in ink on reverse. One monochrome print of a Royal Flying Corps Permanent Pass, dated 19 March 1914, entitling the bearer, Air Mech 2 G.E. Bullen (337), 6 Squadron, RFC, to cycle out of bounds on that day until 11.30pm.
