Air Raid Protection First Aid Box

Deep rectangular enamelled tin first aid box with hinged lid with two locking catches and lifting/carrying handle at the front and HB&S impressed on the base. Black overall with red stripe across the centre of the box with A.R.P stencilled in white at the front. Two small suspension rings also fitted, one each side. Some rust on the lid.

Offside fuel tank and operator's platform with control console and gated gaurd rails.Forward mounted engine with enclosed half cab for driver. Loose covers stored in cab.
12,000lb High Capacity Bomb Mk 2

Large blast bomb of modular construction painted dark green overall, each section being banded in light green and red. Consists of three 4000lb sections bolted together and is an adaptation of the HC 8,000lb bomb with the addition of a tail cone. Fitted with fore & aft pivotting suspension lugs and four additional fixed central lugs; slightly domed front face with two small spinners, one each side.

Combination instrument comprising a pair of headphones mounted on a polished steel support made up of two strips on metal with screw clamps at the ends permitting the headphones to be raised or lowered and a Y shaped Bakelite piece holding a microphone and a speaking horn suspended round the operator's neck by a clip-on cotton tape. The microphone and headphones connected by electrical wiring terminating in a large jack plug.

Cream painted steel and aluminium structure with electrical connections and raised three central sections forming part of the seven 1000lb bomb attachments as carried in Avro Vulcan bomb bay. The carrier consists of a front and a rear beam between which are secured seven channels and two carrier-locking units, and from the underside of which extend three pylons which carry the lower of the two tiers of bombs.

Dark brown cotton net flying helmet with leather covered telephone holders and leather brow band. The interior of the telephone holders padded with fleece fabric or fine sheepskin. The earphone electrical wiring enters at the lower rear of the helmet and attached in the same position is the suspension rig for the throat microphone. Two flat hooks are positioned below the earphone housings and two studs are positioned on their inner edges to which fasten the oxygen mask.

Single-breasted, four button jacket with roll-step collar, two flap and button, pleated breast pockets, two flap and button bellows pockets in skirt and centre rear vent. The lower button shows below the belt. Detachable fabric belt with two prong gilt buckle and gold aiguilette over right shoulder. Black and pale blue rank lace at cuffs to the rank of MRAF. Pilot's wings above left breast pocket. Medal ribbons for ...,
