Large, silver painted, tubular framed hand operated cable winch for hauling in refuelling hose to the receiving aircraft; carried by C Class flying boat during flight refuelling experiments. Red painted side crank handle operating drum via large red painted chain wheel. Brake pressure gauge mounted on front of unit. Yellow knobbed release lever at front.

Standard 6 x 4 chassis fitted with American style driving cab; balloon winch gear behind this with protective cage for the operator and aft loading platform.
Parachute Harness, RAF, Chest Type

Complex arrangement of straps comprising a body harness with two lift webs terminating in large snap hooks which are positioned on the chest. The body harness made up of four adjustable straps ending in connectors a seat strap and a loop passing between the legs. Two straps pass over the shoulders and two over the thighs, through the loop, and all four clip into a quick release connector box positioned on the lower chest. The harness is fitted with a back pad for comfort. Two square metal loops attached to the seat strap are fitted for the attachment of a dinghy pack which acts as a cushion.
Operations Room Projector

Metal projecting tube with slot for slide towards rear. Detachable bulb mount, without bulb, on one side with length of electrical cable still attached. Shaped wooden handle at rear. Circular cast iron base with four screw holes. Projector movable through vertical and horizontal planes through use of wing nut attachment on top of base.
Fordson Model N Tractor

Four-wheeled agricultural type tractor with the two rear wheels of larger diameter than the two on the front steering axle. Single driver's seat. Acquired in running order, and restored to working order April 2014.

A cigar-shaped metal cylinder with four equally spaced rectangular fins attached at one end. These are connected by small rod at the tips. The opposite end tapers to a gentle point. the whole is painted dark green and there is a yellow dashed line marking following the adjoining edge of one of the fins. On the top is an eyebolt and fuse.
Air Raid Protection First Aid Box

Deep rectangular enamelled tin first aid box with hinged lid with two locking catches and lifting/carrying handle at the front and HB&S impressed on the base. Black overall with red stripe across the centre of the box with A.R.P stencilled in white at the front. Two small suspension rings also fitted, one each side. Some rust on the lid.

Large diameter searchlight mounted on pivoting, rotating mount, itself mounted on small trailer chassis with four small tracked wheel units, one per corner, and tubular framed towing arm and long horizontally mounted operating arm. Painted dark green overall. See historical notes.
