Bead sight for Browning 0.50in. cal. machine gun. Red painted bead at top of vertical post at base of which is a screw-fastened circular clamp which goes round the barrel of the machine gun.

"239" (BS) over S-D SQUADRON RECORD of VICTORIES in white lettering with the recorded the Squadron victories for the period 28 January-6 November 1944 painted on the black cross. A "key" DESTROYED, PROBABLE and DAMAGED painted in the bottom right corner.
