Low crowned, domed, light-weight helmet with a thick brim. The crown pierced with two pairs of ventilation holes and the whole structure covered with khaki drill cloth with the inside of the brim lined in green cloth. Five fold pugaree with RAF flash. Leather head band with webbing straps.

Five press-stud male elements on each side of face aperture to receive suspension system from oxygen mask. Microphone socket below left ear. Communications lead emerges from lower centre rear of helmet. Two light webbing goggle retaining straps with press-studs at rear.
