Peaked cap with a blue-grey fabric crown, black mohair band and black plastic peak and chin strap. The front bearing an RAF Airmen's cap badge embroidered in man-made fibres. Plastic sweat band and man-made fabric lining.

Beret of an Officer

Blue-grey woollen integrally knitted beret with leather trim and cotton lining. The front pierced with two reinforced holes for attachment of the badge. Air Officers' beret badge sewn in place with gilt eagle, embroidered laurel wreath, lion and King's crown.

Operations Plotting Stand

L-shaped weighted stand, with three front mounted slides for numeral plates and holes at rear for up to three 'flags' of which there are three. All with alloy mount and plastic tops lettered 'B' in red, came with this donation.

General Service Combat Helmet Mark 6A

Black resin bonded nylon helmet shell with shock absorbing liner. Leather pads front and rear and a nylon mesh cradle in the crown. Three point chin strap with leather chin cup and a press studded quick release fastener.

Webbing Belt

Made up of a single broad webbing strap with brass fittings. The ends terminating in metal tabs equipped with pairs of vertical hooks which engage with cavities fashioned in the inside surface of the belt. The outer face bearing a pair of square buckles stitched at an angle either side of the mid-point of the strap to receive the braces. The right end fitted with an adjustable buckle hook through which the belt passes and doubles back to fasten on the inner face. The left end fitted with an adjustable buckle slot to receive the corresponding hook. The adjustable ends pass through metal retaining loops then through the buckle pieces and then back through the retainers before being secured.

RAF, Type D, Variant 2 (Repro)

Reproduction of a Variant 2 mask with original wiring loom. Olive green woollen outer mask lined in chamois leather and with a chamois gusset under the chin. The fore-part of the mask fitted with a brass microphone retaining ring which is pierced on the left side and fitted with a short, serrated brass tube to which the oxygen supply pipe connects. The ring fitted with a chamois covered wooden former in imitation of a Microphone Type 19. The outer edges of the mask fitted with chamois lined fabric tabs with male press studs at each end for connection to the Type B helmet. Fitted with modern example of cotton covered oxygen tube and original bayonet connector.

Full-sized trials model of MBDA Brimstone supersonic 'Fire and Forget' anti-armour missile, which in service consists of a smart launcher and three missiles, carried on a pylon. Cylindrical alloy body with four tail fins and three top mounting brackets. Painted overall medium grey with fawn coloured nose.

Princess Mary's RAF Nursing Service Tropical Helmet

Low crowned, domed, light-weight helmet with a wide brim, slightly square in plan form. The crown pierced with a ventilation hole and the whole structure covered with white drill cloth. Four fold pugaree. Elastic chin strap and padded silk head band.

Cap of a Women's Royal Air Force Motor Transport Driver

Light brown, leather cap, lined with chamois leather and with a fur lined peak and rear flap. Buckled leather chin strap secures to the crown of the cap when not in use.
