Mountain Climbing Helmet

Light blue, glass fibre, helmet shell with expanded foam lining and rubber edge trim. Foam padded, plastic head band and fabric webbing cradle riveted to the shell. Nylon chin strap.

Blue grey knitted wool beret with leather trim. Front pierced by two re-enforced holes for the attachment of a cap badge. This example fitted with a gilt RAF cap badge with King's crown.

Packet of twenty cigarettes, The packet is in the Royal 'House of Orange' colours and bearing the Royal cypher for Queen Wilhelmina on the front. The whole packet is covered in V's for victory.

Hollow steel body with a welded nose and riveted tail cone assembly fitted with an arming vane. Single welded suspension lug and a nose plug fitted. Painted green overall with fin damage repaired.

Single piece of black painted rattan with silver foot and ball top. The ball is made in two pieces, the join being around the equator and features RAF badge embossed on the top.

White alloy, four tine fork bearing manufacturer's name and mark on underside of handle. Stamped on other side with the RAF crest, the ring bearing SERGT'S MESS instead of the motto, above, HENLOW.

MKVA Pressure Head

Metal pressure head attached to cut-off section of aircraft wing strut. Fully restored for display. Black painted main body with split bracket mounts for attachment to the strut, and two aluminium venturi, one angled, mounted to the front, with lower sections running down parallel with the front of the strut.
