Folding Chair from RAF Stanley (Falklands) Chapel

Varnished natural wood slatted wooden folding chair; seat made from square frame with nine wooden slats secured with two metal screws. Front legs extend at an angle to form the back of the chair. A metal rod joins these to the seat.Back legs join the front legs half way up the back of the chair with the seat joining the back legs by way of a slot allowing the chair to be folded.
HGU-25P Flight Deck Helmet

Cloth helmet with cut-outs for ear defenders which are secured by a press studded channel in the crown. Straps with male press studs are provided to attach hard plastic padded shells front and rear. Front shell painted with horizontal red and white bands with winged 1 in red circle on central white band; rear shell vertical red outer and central black bands. Complete with 'Scott' goggles on elesticated straps to protect the eyes.
Eye Safety Systems, Advancer V-12 Series

Goggle system consisting of a black plastic frame with elasticated strap and integral cover. Individual clear, dark or yellow lenses can be fitted to the frame in such a way as to maximise airflow round the lens or maximise particulate filtration. Lenses not in use are stored in plastic boxes which are stored in the side pockets of the goggles storage pouch. Anti fog cloth and instructions included.

Pale grey-green rubber face cup with interior sealing lip and oxygen inlet pipe on left side, microphone mounted centrally and expiratory valve below it. The exterior overlaid by a black plastic reinforcing shell to which is attached the lever fitted with thin wire links and rod connectors which retain the mask in tight contact with the wearer's face. Short microphone lead with flat, 6 point connector. Black corrugated oxygen pipe terminating in a parallel sided connector.

Hybrid shirt worn with the 'Osprey' Body Armour system. Body and under arm section made from tan, wrap knitted polyester with a zip opening in the neck. Short stand collar and sleeves in MTP polycotton. Shoulders and lower arms fitted with removable padding, flapped pockets in the upper arms with Velcro strips for fitting badges. Button and tab cuffs. Union flag patch on the left pocket flap, parachute qualification badge on the right. Small square of reflective material sewn to each shoulder.

Green rubberised 'Ventile' treated cotton combination suit with diagonal waterproofed zip opening across the chest. Adjustment zip across small of back, pee tube access panel zip across front. Integral rubberised cuffs and neck seal with nylon inner collar. This example has been fitted with with rubberised stretch socks, flapped pocket on the lower left leg, map pockets on the upper legs, knife pocket on the upper right leg and a pen pocket on the left sleeve. Rubber aperture for G-suit or AVS exits the waist on the right. Squadron Leader's rank lace on left shoulder. Neck rubber and cuff rubber has perished.

Light grey, Kevlar, helmet shell with expanded foam liner incorporating Velcro pads in the crown and front for the fitting of pads. Adjustable nylon webbing neck strap in the rear with leather pad. Ear capsules, fitted with finger loops to aid donning, are attached to nylon straps which can be loosed by external clips on each side of the helmet. Wired with LEMO jack plug exiting the rear of the helmet and microphone connector externally on the lower left side. Helmet is fitted with a twin visor assembly and has a cloth visor cover attached to the assembly via press studs. A cross of reflective tape is fitted to the top of the helmet. Chin strap with quick locking buckle and Velcro adjustment. This example fitted with bayonet oxygen mask connectors and an external Velcro pad on the upper right of the helmet.
