Green rubberised 'Ventile' treated cotton combination suit with diagonal waterproofed zip opening across the chest. Adjustment zip across small of back, pee tube access panel zip across front. Integral rubberised cuffs and neck seal with nylon inner collar. This example has been fitted with with rubberised stretch socks, flapped pocket on the lower left leg, map pockets on the upper legs, knife pocket on the upper right leg and a pen pocket on the left sleeve. Rubber aperture for G-suit or AVS exits the waist on the right. Squadron Leader's rank lace on left shoulder. Neck rubber and cuff rubber has perished.

Embroidered on a disc of white cotton and man-made fibre mixture fabric, an outer yellow ring and an inner red ring. Between the two in red GROUNDCREW at top, THERE'S ALWAYS BLOODY SOMETHING at bottom. In the centre a green and yellow bat with IX in red, the number overlaid with the front view of a Tornado aircraft in green and grey.

RAF Stanley Chapel

Large standard ISO container converted into an airfield chapel by the addition of a door and two windows. The interior has been painted white, floored and carpeted, an electric heater added together with three fluorescent lights and a large black wooden cross at the far end, together with two coat racks adjacent to the door.

Lectern

Square, wooden topped lectern with two small circular brass candle holders at opposite corners.This sits above an inverted wooden triangular base with a crude carving of a St Andrew's cross and crook. The candle holders are made from Argentinian shell cases.

Usual style of RAF unit/station plaque with polished wooden shield upon which is mounted the actual badge with symbol of crown, sword and crossed lightning bolts, with scrolled motto below ' Defend and Strike'. Mounted flanking cross on end wall of chapel.

Plain stained brown wooden lectern. Open backed with two shelves. Slightly chamfered sides. Slight damage to front decorative strip. Red and blue painted markings at top front.
