Three-wheeled rectangular tanker with driver's seat and steering wheel incorporated, positioned towards the back, mid-way above the two wheels. Painted with camouflaged patterning in very dark sea grey and khaki. Tanker would have been driven into position, and the piping which is visibly attached to either side, used to refuel the aircraft. There is a warning and speed indicator stenciled in white, an 'S' painted in red and RAF 87289 F/II. At the driver's end there are two gauges indicating petrol and oil.

Black leather skull cap trimmed with - 'seal dyed nutria' - black fur so as to leave a circular leather patch in front and two small triangular patches at rear. Front patch decorated with a badge of a flying eagle in silver superimposed on a gold ring lettered PER ARDUA AD ASTRA with crown above, mounted in front of a plume socket. Plume B/G ostrich feather bound onto a metal rod, with, at base, a basket-work section of gold and pale blue mixed lace. Patent leather chin strap. Silk lining.

Double-sided, rectangular silver plaque. Obverse - a perched eagle overlooking a cloudscape with an aeroplane and a balloon in the upper portion. Below the eagle the inscription FEDERATION AERONAUTIQUE INTERNATIONALE PRIX HENRY DELAVAULX all of the above in relief. Engraved below that 1938 Ft. SGT. T.D. DIXON RECORD DU MONDE DE DISTANCE EN LIGNE DROITE 10715,448 Km. Reverse - in high relief the bust of the prize giver in left profile with COMTE H. DE LAVAULX below it. Signed by the artist in the top right corner GRUN.

A gilt, Maltese cross enamelled white with tracing lines, forked ends and ball finials, the interstices filled by gold lions. At top an oak leaf cluster with loop and suspender ring. Centrally in the cross a white medallion bearing, appliqued in gold, a branch of the Union plant - rose, thistle and shamrock on one stem - surrounded by three crowns - within a crimson border lettered TRIA JUNCTA IN UNO, all within a green laurel wreath with, below it, a blue scroll lettered ICH DIEN. Obverse and reverse the same. Crimson sash.

A four armed gold cross, the ends of the arms divided into three branches, enamelled pale blue. The upper arm terminating in a gold crown with integral loop and articulated ring suspender. Centrally a gold medallion bearing the crowned profile portraits of King George V and Queen Mary within a crimson ring lettered FOR GOD AND THE EMPIRE. Reverse plain gold, the medallion bearing GRI crowned. Neck ribbon - purple with a central orange stripe OR pink with silver grey narrow edges and centre stripe.
