Woven into a horizontal oval patch of pale blue sateened cotton fabric, AIR DEFENCE CADET CORPS around the top edge and SQUADRON at the bottom all within a thin border. Machine stitched in the centre, a rectangular patch of paler blue fabric lettered C.R.A.F.A. above 157 B'HAM.

India General Service Medal 1936-1939

Circular, silver with scroll type suspender bar. Obverse - crowned head of GRVI in left profile with round the rim GEORGIUS VI DG BR OMN REX ET INDIAE IMP. Reverse - a tiger standing on a mountain range with INDIA at the top. Ribbon - pale buff with narrow red edges and broad green borders. The edge impressed 515231A.C.1. W.J.H. WRIGHT. R.A.F. With clasp NORTH WEST FRONTIER 1936-37. No ribbon.

Flying Trousers, Long Range Development Unit, RAF

Light weight, Blue-grey cotton fabric trousers with integral braces, waist adjustment straps and elasticated ankles. The legs fitted with full length zips so that the garment can be wrapped round the legs and fastened rather than pulling them on in the normal manner.

Standard A.W.38 gun turret cupola as fitted to Anson 1 aircraft; mounted on cylindrical steel base for mounting on marine craft for anti-aircraft defence. Manually operated by gunner's foot pressure on the floor. Equipped with single Vickers VGO Mk.1 machine gun. Yellow painted cupola with sliding central top panel. Supporting grey painted steel cylindrical mount shows evidence of corrosion pitting.

Double-sided, rectangular silver plaque. Obverse - a perched eagle overlooking a cloudscape with an aeroplane and a balloon in the upper portion. Below the eagle the inscription FEDERATION AERONAUTIQUE INTERNATIONALE PRIX HENRY DELAVAULX all of the above in relief. Engraved below that 1938 Ft. Lt. H.A.V. HOGAN RECORD DU MONDE DE DISTANCE EN LIGNE DROITE 10715,448 Km. Reverse - in high relief the bust of the prize giver in left profile with COMTE H. DE LAVAULX below it. Signed by the artist in the top right corner GRUN.
