Reversing stop watch, designed for use with equal distance bomb sight. Believed only five remaining in the country. Stop watch with grey metal case and white face. Showing reverse dial, numbered 1 - 14. Black metal needle with teardrop tip. Face inscribed with "Reversing Stop Watch for equal distance bomb sight height in thousands of feet Mark II" as well as the maker's name. Watch has red marker. There are two metal switches at the top and a metal attachment for a strap.

Long grey rectangular camera body. Slide-in type rear film magazine (now missing), which held six 9x12cm plates. Pistol grip and trigger at rear operating inner shutter, polished wooden secondary grip towards the front; collapsible pivoting fore and hinged aft sights on top of body; Film feed at rear. No lens, but all fixing screws remain in situ at the front. Control knob and film counter on right hand end side. Doped canvas body wrapping slightly detached at bottom.

Originally Original nacelle framework only; later fully restored and completed and incorporated into completely reconstructed FE.2b aircraft for display at RAFM Hendon. Firing pin in the machine gun mounted in the front gunners position (Lewis machine gun. The aircraft is suspended in H2 so is impossible to get to without height access equipment so is safe for now but if the aircraft is lowered care needs to be taken as it is a fully live weapon capable of firing ammunition. Single-breasted, khaki jacket with rounded opening in the skirt for wearing of kilt and sporran. Roll-step collar and lapels, four flap and button pockets, the breast pockets pleated, the skirt pockets of bellows type shaped to accommodate the opening in the skirt. The waist fitted with brass hooks for wear with a Sam Browne. Shoulder straps plain. Bronze Regimental Collar badges. False pointed cuffs encircled by one pale khaki, chevron lace and the cuff carries two embroidered rank pips for a Lieutenant. Observer's flying badge above left breast pocket.

A pair of unlacquered, white alloy, oval frames holding yellow tinted Triplex windows, the frames spring-sided with grey silk surrounds and chenille padding. The link across the bridge of the nose formed by a piece of metal connected to small rings emerging from the sides of each frame. The link backed by cotton tape padded with chenille . Grey, two-piece, adjustable, elastic head band attached to the eye pieces by grey leather tabs. CONDITION - good, slightly grubby, the head band fragile. Displayable, but probably not on a figure.

Thick, pale khaki cotton combination suit interlined with multiple layers of oiled silk and with a white fur fabric lining. The garment is constructed with a double flap arrangement over the chest buttoning on the right side. The main opening continues downwards into a button fly. Cuffs gathered into a band fastening with a button. Ankles similar, but with a slit further up the leg to assist putting on, and fastening with two buttons. Narrow adjustable waistband at rear. Large diagonal open pocket on chest and two large open pockets on upper legs. Plain collar fastening with a tab and buttons.
Royal Flying Corps Type A Camera

A wooden case tapering in width to one end. This end is open, with the covered lens cap clearly visible just inside the opening. At the other end, the rim of the box is surrounded by brass straps which also reinforce the sides and corners of the case. A leather buckled strap/handle is attached by brass fixings to both sides of the case. Just above, on the same side a brass rotary switch alters the focus of the camera (?). A number of other brass fixings are also attached to the outside of the case. Access at the rear for 5x4 inch Mackenzie-Wishart slide and envelope.

Grey khaki, long-sleeved, single breasted coatfrock with detachable pointed brown or white collar. Open down front from neck for 21½ inches, closing with 6 buttons, 5 large 1 small. 2 inch grey-khaki belt sewn to back closing with four button holes and secured at waist level by two offset buttons attached to the front of the coat. Two patch pockets in skirt, 5 inches below belt line, closing with a buttoned flap. 3 inch buttoned cuffs with 6 inch opening. Shoulder straps bearing WAAC title and coloured centre stripe sewn to shoulder seam and secured at the top by a button. See his historical notes.

Dark patinated bronze cross pattée with a semi-circular extension on the upper arm bearing a ring which engages with a V below the suspension bar which is decorated with two sprays of laurel leaves joined by a ribbon. Obverse - a crown with crowned lion above and below a sroll bearing the words FOR VALOUR. The cross edged with a double line border. Reverse - The cross edged with a double line border and a double lined central disc bearing an engraved date 20 MAR 1917. The reverse of the suspension bar engraved LT. F.H. MC NAMARA. No.67 AUS. SQDN. R.F.C. Ribbon - maroon.
