Tan leather cap type helmet lined in chamois in the crown and in fur below the eye line including the peak which is turned up and retained by a press stud. Ear flaps, covering single, large round hole, pierced by nine holes arranged in a circle, retained by press studs: the flaps having cylindrical wind deflectors on their front, vertical edge. Short leather chin strap on right engages with leather covered buckle on left. Condition - very good, displayable.

Aldis telescopic gunsight. Long, black and cylindrical in shape. Has a wire running its length, with a simple ring at the pilot's eye end; this had to be pulled to lift up the protective hinged cover over the glass lens at the opposite end when required for use. The pilot's end is wrapped in sorbo rubber as cushioning should the pilot's face impact with the end of the sight during a crash.

Bronze four point star, the upper point overlaid with a crown from which emerges a fixed suspension ring. The centre of the star overlaid with crossed swords and a wreath within which appears a 3 part scroll bearing August 1914 November. The base of the wreath carries GV in monogram. Suspended from a red, white, blue watered ribbon bearing a clasp lettered 5TH August - 22ND November 1914. Obverse - plain , impressed MAJOR L.G. HAWKER. V.C. D.S.O. R.F.C. (REPLACEMENT)

Obverse - an anti-aircraft gun with L15 at the muzzle and a double scroll below lettered WELL HIT MARCH 31ST-APRIL 1ST 1916 in relief. Engraved at the top SAPR W.R. HAMMANT. Reverse -within a ring lettered PRESENTED BY THE LORD MAYOR COLONEL SIR CHARLES WAKEFIELD his coat of arms with crest and motto. Cased.

Circular, matt silver with; Obverse - uniformed three-quarters facing bust of Manfred Freiherr von Richthofen, encircled by RITTMEISTER MANFRED FRHR V RICHTHOFEN. Reverse - next to a gravestone, decorated with a knight's helmet with crest and mantling and a coat of arms and bearing the date 12 APRIL 1918, a standing eagle, its head raised in salute with the number 89 pierced by an arrow. Encircled by the words DER ROTE KAMPF FLIEGER. Signed by the artist at the base of gravestone.
