L33, with Commemorative Plaque

Local made bronze/brass? plaque lacquered with SEPT. 24th ZEPPELIN L33 1916 painted in black on the front. Riveted a now broken section of alloy structure from the airship, which itself has one rivet and a fragment of a connected section. the airship fragment is now broken into two.

Unidentified WWI Type

Recessed Bakelite base to which are attached the mechanical components of the morse key - the rocker arm and handle - and the electrical components - connecting terminals. The elements are wired together in the recessed under-portion of the base which is pierced by two holes for attachment to a table or other wooden surface.

Crossley 4x2 Light Tender

Standard RFC personnel carrier; capacity 11 seats. 4 cylinder petrol engine. Wood and metal body with canvas tilt. Rear mounted petrol tank and foot board. Forward tilting adjustable windscreen; acetylene headlamps, brass radiator with Crossley badge. Two spare wheels mounted together at front offside. Restored to full working order July 2014.

"Fums Up" Nameboard

Rectangular piece of plywood hand painted with the words "FUMS UP! in white with blue border. Identical to X001-2588 in size and style, though in poorer condition; retains a few fixing pins along the bottom edge. Now framed together with other 'Fums Up!' Nameboard and 'child' artwork in one large glass-fronted wooden frame.

Control Panel

Mahogony framed electrical control panel with sliding glass doors at front. Main panel has top row of 8 voltage meters wth groupings of ceramic fuses below ( some missing). Pull down switches associated with each row of fuses, with small label plaques giving location. Ornate decoration with side notice boards and decorative top pedastel. Dark polished overall effect.

Jacket with wide flap fastening with four gilding metal buttons down left side. Falling collar, plain cuffs, inset pockets with buttoned flaps in skirts. Fabric belt closing with a single uniform button in line with the fastening buttons. Internal collar in ribbed white cotton. Badges on both sleeves shoulder-title at top with eagle below, both white embroidery on black.

Rectangle of PC 10 painted fabric with painting of naked child holding both thumbs up. A section of red, white and blue ribbon is shown covering the upper body and another section is situated behind the child to form a cross. Now framed, together with two wooden 'Fums Up!' nameboards, in one large gass-fronted wooden frame.

RFC, Electrically-Heated, Ptn 1917

Brown, collarless, waist length cotton jacket fitted with heating elements in lining. Front closing with seven buttons. Electrical connectors at front of waist while a larger connector and cable is located on the left, the cable fitted with a leather eyelet to secure it to a button . Two connectors at the wrists for attaching to electrically heated gloves.

Dark blue, single-breasted, serge, four button jacket with turn-over collar and small lapels. Straight flapped, inset pockets in skirts, no vent at rear. Two small buttons, vertically, at each cuff. All buttons black horn with crowned fouled anchor. Red embroidered eagle badge on right upper arm. Red embroidered Leading Mechanic's Fouled Anchor badge on left upper arm.

Utility, 4x2, Model T, 1925

Left hand drive light truck with open wooden rear body and partially enclosed cab with bench seat and no tops to the doors; nearside mounted spare wheel and pronounced mudguards each side linked by running boards; twin front headlamps and cab mounted oxy-acetylene lamps. In full running order following restoration by RAFM Friends team 2011-2012.
