An electric motor driving a large drum that has a stylo picking up electrical contacts around the drum. A large wooden wheel fitted one side and a ceramic on/off switch. Other electrical component fitted on other sides including a three pin electrical plug connector. All mounted on a steel base and painted in black crackle overall.

Single-breasted, four button jacket with roll-step collar, two flap and button, pleated breast pockets, two flap and button bellows pockets in skirt and centre rear vent. Integral fabric belt with two prong gilt buckle. Black and pale blue rank lace at cuffs to the rank of Pilot Officer Pilot's badge above left breast pocket.

Peaked cap with blue-grey fabric crown, black mohair band and black, patent leather chin strap and peak, the latter bearing two rows of gold wire oak leaf embroidery. On the band the Air Officers' badge consisting of a gold wire wreath with crown and lion above, overlaid with a gilt metal eagle.
