Reel three of a partially dramatised film documenting the journey of a BOAC Avro Lancastrian from London to Sydney by way of Lydda, Karachi, Singapore and Darwin. The film is set just before Christmas 1947 and includes scenes of local scenery and culture at each stop.

Large rectangular black painted body vented on three sides with a rectangular hood covering two display screens a yard counter and red lamp fitted in the face. Two rotating knobs marked, BRILL/B SCOPE BRILL, three-way RANGE SELCTOR, CAGE/INT press buttons, ON/MOD switch, with METER/SCALE switch all fitted in the face. Two large multi-pin plugs and four coaxial connectors fitted in the left side.

Olive green waistcoat with stole containing a set of three kapok pads and an inflatable rubber bladder extending from left breast behind head and onto right breast. The stole unofficially painted bright yellow. Oral inflation tube emerging from left breast and tucked into a retaining tube on left shoulder. The waistcoat fastens with three buttons and two buckled straps. Named on rear REID.

Single-breasted, waist-length fitted jacket with a roll step collar, shoulder boards bearing gold lace in the rank of Flight Lieutenant and a small crowned eagle embroidered in gold wire. Cuffs bear three small buttons on the rear seam. The lapels faced with flat silk. Three non-functional buttons on each side at front and a single linked double button to fasten just below lapels.
