Large rectangular two-piece cast aluminium body fitted with eighteen externally threaded two and four pin plugs.

Large black crackle painted rectangular metal case with a large curved centre dial and two way tuning drive. Two eight and one four pin connectors bottom right with various other manual switches above and at left. Handle fitted on either side. Tuning indicator, Meter deflect, Aural sense and two connectors blanked off (replaced with orange lamp and two plug sockets).

Rectangular portable composite case with hinged lid and re-enforced corners housing, a panel fitted with two large knobs marked, SET A.C. and RANGE SELECTOR, two terminals marked, OUTPUT A/OUTPUT E, switch marked, STD. CELL, on/off switch, a multi-pin 110/250v socket and two fuses. A small perspex window marked, MAINS VOLTAGE with seven small sockets also fitted in face with two handles.
