Single-breasted, four button, blue-grey jacket with roll-step collar, Two flap and button pleated breast pockets, two flap and button bellows skirt pockets, a small pocket let into the waist and centre rear vent. Three buttons visible, the other flat and concealed behind the belt. Detachable fabric belt with two prong gilt buckle. Black rank lace at cuffs to the rank of .... Buttons and ROC lapel badges removed.

RFC Pilot's badge above left breast pocket.

Long steel blade with full fullers tapered to a point, two piece wooden grip scales with two horizontal grooves in each, fixed by two screw bolts. Wasted cross guard with 22mm Ø muzzle ring and spring loaded catch with channel in the pommel. Complete with leather scabbard having a metal oval frog stud, stapled tip and throat and fitted with a home guard leather frog (accessioned separately).
